11 April 2014, 14:17

“The biggest threat for Putin is mighty and prosperous Ukraine. We hope that our new Government and our newly elected President will be capable to implement reforms and make Ukraine stronger.” -   Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Co-Founder of Ukraine Crisis Media Center, Partner CFC Consulting stated in his speech at the 7th Kyiv Security Forum.

He pointed out that these days countries use various sets of weapons against their enemies: “Kremlin is making use of economic, financial tools as well as military means against Ukraine. Fortunately, its nuclear weapons are still kept underground”.

Business community representative attracted attention to Russia expanding information warfare against Ukraine in all possible ways, employing its state owned media, spy networks, bribing journalists and even staging the international campaign which objective is to contact taxi drivers, persuade them that Crimea has never been a part of Ukraine and have them speaking about this globally.   .

“I feel lucky to say that Ukraine is winning this information warfare all over the world. One example is 100 votes for and 11 against decision on Ukraine’s territorial integrity at the UN General Assembly. The businessman added that not every democratic capital expressed enough support to Ukraine: “We need more support from Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands”.
