
Raimundas KAROBLIS
Mr. Karoblis graduated from the Law Faculty, Vilnius University. He started his work as a legal consultant at the Lithuanian Free Market Institute. In 1994-1995 he was appointed the First Secretary, Foreign Trade Policy Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. From 1995 to 1999 he served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania as the director of different departments.
In 1999-2003 Mr. Karoblis was a Minister Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
In 2001-2003 he was a Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the WTO and after that, he came back to Lithuania where he continued his work as a director of Foreign Trade Policy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
In 2007-2010 Mr. Karoblis served as a Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the European Union (COREPER I) and for the next five he was the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Lithuania to the European Union.
In 2015-2016 Mr. Karoblis was a Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
In December 2016 Mr. Karoblis was inaugurated as the Minister of National Defence.
