Was born on June 27, 1972 in Lviv, and is a Ukrainian politician. Mr. Semerak was member of the Vekhovna Rada of Ukraine (2007-2012, 2014)
From 1989-1994 he studied at the Department of Physics, Lviv national Ivan Franko University and from 1992-1998 at the National University “Kyiv Mogyla Academy” with a major in political science.
In 1992-1995 he was co-founder and deputy head of the Student Union of the National University “Kyiv Mohyla Academy”.
From 1994-1996 he coordinated the program “School of Young Politician” for the Ukrainian Foundation for Support of Reforms.
In 1996 he was the president of the Foundation for Support of Development of Political and Legal Culture.
From 2006-2007 he was the deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration on international policy issues and communication.
From 2007-2012 he was a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
From 2010-2012 he was the Minister of Youth, Sport and Preparation for Euro-2012 in the Shadow Cabinet of Ministers.
Since 2014 he has been a minister in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Since 2016 he has been the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
