Co-Founder of Georgia’s Reforms Associates (GRASS), Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia (2011-2012)
Dr. Sergi Kapanadze is a co-founder of Georgia’s Reforms Associates (GRASS). He has served as a Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister in 2011-2012. Before that he held various senior posts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005; 2007-2011), Administration of the President (2006), National Security Council (2004-2005) and a Foreign Intelligence Special Service (2006-2007). He was also an Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Tbilisi State University in 2012. Currently (since 2004) also serves as associated professor (specializing in European Studies and International Negotiations) at the Department of International Relations of the Tbilisi State University. Holds PhD in International Relations (Tbilisi State University, 2010) and MA in International Relations and European Studies (Central European University, 2003). Has extensive experience of working on the EU funded projects together with the GFSIS in 2004-2008.
