Since December 1, 2011 Graham Tiley is a Shell Ukraine Country Chair and General Manager of Shell Ukraine Exploration and Production I LLC, an exploration and production company in Ukraine. In his role as Shell Ukraine Country Chair Mr. Tiley is responsible for strategic direction of Shell in Ukraine, general coordination of all company businesses in the country, as well as representing company’s interests to key stakeholders, first and foremost, to government officials. Mr. Tiley also leads Shell’s exploration and production activities in Ukraine, including successful implementation of the existing joint activity with SC “Ukrgasvydobuvannia” and any new opportunities of unlocking hydrocarbon potential of Ukraine.
Mr. Tiley has a PhD in Geological Sciences from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Mr. Tiley joined Shell in 1988 and during the 23 years with the company he has undertaken various assignments in Europe, Africa, CIS and Middle East. Since mid-90s Mr. Tiley has specialized in difficult hydrocarbons. In 2002-2008 Mr. Tiley was responsible for exploration, appraisal and delivery of new exploration projects of Shell in Russia and CIS. He was also responsible for effective cooperation with Shell’s joint ventures partners. In 2008 Mr. Tiley was appointed General Manager Exploration Algeria, where he managed seismic and drilling operations to evaluate tight gas potential of the project. From January 2010 Mr. Tiley managed Shell’s new exploration projects in Africa and Europe, including difficult gas projects in Sweden, Germany and South Africa.
