This war represents a struggle between good and evil, not merely a conflict between two states, and Ukraine must prevail. The West must be prepared to provide support and join the struggle directly.

Isaac Flanagan, co-founder of Zero Line, made this statement during a discussion titled "UKRAINE'S UNBREAKABLE GENERATION: Reflections by General Petraeus – and What Washington Sees," organized by the KSF.

"Ukraine must win this war, this struggle… This is not merely a war between two countries. It is a struggle between good and evil. We must determine how this struggle will end, and our focus must solely be on achieving victory. We in the West can support Ukraine and be ready to join the struggle ourselves,” he stated.

According to Flanagan, the partnership has three phases: direct aid provision, practical work involvement, and product creation. He emphasized that the focus should now shift to learning from Ukraine rather than just analyzing its challenges.

"Over the past four years, Ukraine has introduced many innovations on the battlefield that would take the West 20 years to achieve. These innovations include drones, command and control systems, and advancements in procedures. These are fundamental issues not only for Ukraine but for us as well,” noted the co-founder of Zero Line.

According to Flanagan, learning from Ukraine’s example has already begun. "Yes, seminars, panels, and discussions are taking place, but learning without making changes to the institutional system is merely tourism, not practical innovation," Flanagan added.

He emphasized that Ukraine “plays in the top league” every day, as its innovations reach the battlefield in record time. For example, Flanagan highlighted Ukraine’s achievements in the naval sphere, where a large number of innovations have been developed, as well as the production of interceptor drones.

"The West needs incentives to transition to this system," he added.

Zero Line is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that identifies urgent needs in Ukraine and collaborates with international donors to address them.

Open Ukraine is an international foundation established by Arseniy Yatsenyuk in July 2007 to strengthen Ukraine's authority in the world. The foundation organizes the Kyiv Security Forum every year.
