Ukraine efficiently employs innovations at the battlefield, - American General
22.03.24

Ukrainians lack resources at the battlefield, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine efficiently employ cutting edge technologies.

This is what General Gordon “Skip” Davis Jr., Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA), Former Deputy Assistant of the NATO General Secretary on defence investment said at the 16th Annual Kyiv Security Forum established by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” Foundation.

“At the frontline we register a range of fantastic innovations that the Ukrainian Armed Forces employ. I am certain that the top military and civil authorities already contemplate greater reliance on domestic resources, even though the US support is there”, - the General said.

According to him, Ukraine now faces three major strategic challenges: preserving the military and financial system; ensuring proper numbers of active army; integrating into and rapid response to the purpose of efficient defence and protection of territories.

“There are many things that Ukraine lacks. At the same time, there are unity, civic support and innovations allowing the Ukrainians to hold on and to retaliate,” – said Gordon Davis Jr.

“It is a challenge for Ukraine to keep up the pace and efficiency of combat innovations at the battlefield to replace the lacking equipment. Ukraine successfully uses UAVs/ drones, AI and varied systems to inflict heavy losses to russia,” — the General stressed.

The 16th Annual Kyiv Security Forum is held March 21-22, 2024, to gather transatlantic support for Ukraine. This year Forum slogan is “Ukraine’s call to the World: Together We Prevail!”.
