The Russian regime must bear full liability for all its crimes against Ukraine, every effort must be made to prevent this aggression from ever repeating again.
Marcos Perestrello, NATO Parliamentary Assembly President voiced this statement in his online speech at the 17th Annual Kyiv Security Forum “UA: UNITE AGAIN TO DEFEAT THE GLOBAL AGGRESSOR", organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.
“The threat facing our countries is clear. It’s name is Putin’s Russia. We must counter this threat most decisively,” he stressed.

Marcos Perestrello noted that the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has been sending signals of support to Ukraine right from the start. In particular, last week, after his most recent visit to Kyiv, the sixth visit since the beginning of the war, the Parliamentary Assembly remains steadfast in supporting the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the right to self-defense and self-determination of Ukrainian people.
“We remain committed to supporting democracy in Ukraine. In particular, through our strong partnership with the Verkhovna Rada. And we reaffirm Ukraine’s right to choose its own path, including membership in the European Union and NATO,” he stressed.
The Kyiv Security Forum, founded by Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s “Open Ukraine” foundation, is the major platform in Ukraine to discuss problems of war and peace, national and world security.
