Latvian Ambassador Pildegovičs: Equal cooperation with Ukraine is the key to success
05.12.25

All global platforms for cooperation with Ukraine must be utilized to their fullest potential. Andrejs Pildegovičs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine, made this statement during the 11th Kyiv Youth Security Forum "GEN W²: CODING THE FUTURE".

"We are cooperating with Ukraine. We are members of the Drone Coalition... We are trying to learn from Ukraine, not only through declarations, but also through practical steps. To date, we have trained approximately 4,000 Ukrainian military personnel, and we are working to expand our partnership. Ukrainians are among the best trainers in this regard. Therefore, equal cooperation is the key to success," he said. The diplomat emphasized the importance of global cooperation.

"We must use every possible global platform. In Europe, we see Ukraine as part of the EU and NATO in the future. We support Ukraine in every way on this path," Andrejs Pildegovičs stated.

He emphasized the importance of Latvia having a physical presence in Ukraine, "This is important for military personnel, businesspeople, and technology experts."

"Here in Ukraine, we must move faster than our opponents," the Ambassador stressed.

This year's event is supported by the NATO Representation in Ukraine and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in partnership with the Tech Force in UA association.
