Paul Kolbe, Senior Fellow, The Intelligence Project, Belfer Center For Science and International Affiars, Harvard Kennedy School stressed that he was pleasantly surprised by the reform outcome of the Ukrainian military intelligence.
He specifically emphasized this at the 17th Annual Kyiv Security Forum “UA: UNITE AGAIN TO DEFEAT THE GLOBAL AGGRESSOR”, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.
“First of all, what pleasantly surprised and impressed me was how the secret services were able to quickly transform in the post-KGB era and reform to excellence. They did not took shape of a punitive service. The most surprising thing that I have seen in recent years is that these services have their own agents in the Russian Federation working undercover. And there are drone missions to eliminate the adversary’s senior officers,” Paul Kolbe emphasized.

According to him, this indicates that Ukrainian intelligence is quite capable to operate inside the Russian Federation, unhindered by “thousands of Russian Guardsmen.”
“We can talk about the global scale of Ukrainian intelligence community operation, and this is what amazes me,” Paul Kolbe said.
The Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” foundation, is the main platform in Ukraine to discuss issues of war and peace, national and global security.
