THE YOUTH KYIV SECURITY FORUM DEDICATED TO UKRAINE'S ACCESSION TO NATO WILL TAKE PLACE ON JUNE 11

On June 11, 2021, the Kyiv Security Forum, founded by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” Foundation, will hold its ninth annual youth meeting.

This year, the Youth Kyiv Security Forum will take place on the eve of the NATO summit in Brussels, scheduled for June 14, and will be dedicated to the integration of Ukraine and the countries of our region into NATO.

The large-scale meeting will bring together well-known Ukrainian and foreign politicians, diplomats, experts, as well as more than four dozen young professionals from all regions of our country and young colleagues from Georgia. Dozens more participants will be present online throughout all panel discussions and will have the opportunity to put questions to speakers.

The main goal of this year's Youth KSF is to appeal to NATO member states for a strong support and a clear demand for Ukraine and Georgia to join the Alliance.

Among the Ukrainian speakers are Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, Olena Kondratyuk, Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olga Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine in 2014-19, Ivanna Klympush -Tsintsadze, Chairwoman of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Committee on the EU integration, Serhiy Rakhmanin, Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Participants will be addressed by James Appathurai, the NATO Special Representative and Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs, Condoleezza Rice, US Secretary of State in 2005-09, General Philip Breedlove. Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO Allied Command Operations in 2013-16, Zygimantas Pavilionis, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the United States in 2010-15 and Member of the Lithuanian Seimas, Alexander Vinnikov, Head of the NATO Representation to Ukraine, Vineta Kleine, Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine, and prominent international members of the Atlantic Council.

How to unite the national forces of Ukraine for the Euro-Atlantic goal?

How to join the efforts of Ukraine and Georgia and other countries in the region to gain the NATO membership?

What message the youth of Ukraine and Georgia send to NATO and what do they expect from the Alliance Summit in Brussels?

These and other issues will be at the center of our discussion.

The forum will be broadcasted on June 11 at 11:00 Kyiv time on our resources:
