Ukraine’s and all Europe’s future depend on the outcome of the russian-Ukrainian war.
This was emphasized by Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, MP, Chair of the Parliament Committee on EU Integration at the 16th Annual Kyiv Security Forum established by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” Foundation.
“It is perhaps for the first time ever that we are concerned, deeply concerned about the way situation in Europe and the whole of the democratic world unfolds. In particular, the outcome of elections, including the elections to the European Parliament”, - she said.
The Parliament Committee Chair hoped that the European Parliament preserved its capability to take decisions based on values.
In her opinion, the new composition of the European Parliament will include more hard observers.
“Perhaps, it will be operable. Perhaps, it will further take necessary decisions even though with lesser votes”, - Ivanna Klympush-Tsinsadze stated.
Moreover, according to her, the future of Europe will depend on the war outcome.
“The war outcome can be both negative and positive. We are capable of ensuring that it turns out positive, so that the EU and we remain certain that the EU continues its important geopolitical role and pays focused attention to its military might, as my colleagues put it”, - Ivanna Klympush-Tsinsadze summed up.
The 16th Annual Kyiv Security Forum is held March 21-22, 2024, to gather transatlantic support for Ukraine. This year Forum slogan is “Ukraine’s call to the World: Together We Prevail!”.
