The democratic world is much stronger than Putin’s Russia, so one should not fear to defeat the Kremlin regime.

MEP Rasa Jukneavičienė, Minister of Defense of Lithuania (2008-2012), presented her opinion at the 17th Annual Kyiv Security Forum “UA: UNITE AGAIN TO DEFEAT THE GLOBAL AGGRESSOR”, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

“What should be done about Russia? The clear answer: defeat the Kremlin regime in war, and fear this not. The democratic world is much stronger than Putin’s Russia. Much stronger,” she argued.

At the same time, the MP emphasized that Ukraine could have already won if assistance to Kyiv had been sufficient.

“The main problem today is perhaps not Russia, but us. Why? Because we do not have a clear, unified strategy vis-à-vis Russia,” Rasa Juknevičienė believes.

She added that a strategy is needed to defeat Putin’s regime without fear, and many are scared to design such a strategy.

The Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s Open Ukraine Foundation, is the main platform in Ukraine to discuss issues of war and peace, national and global security.
