Europe must help Ukraine on the battlefield to win the aggressive war of the Russian Federation. Once this is achieved, Belarus will become part of the European community.
This was emphasized by Rasa Jukneavičienė, MEP, Lithuania, Minister of Defense of Lithuania (2008-2012) at the 17 th Annual Kyiv Security Forum “UA: UNITE AGAIN TO DEFEAT THE GLOBAL AGGRESSOR”, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

“What can we do to win this war? First, help Ukraine on the battlefield,” she emphasized.
Describing the situation in Belarus, Rasa Jukneavičienė noted that it is necessary to assist Belarus opposition “to keep going at least until the Ukrainians do their job on the battlefield.”
“I am seriously engaged into this issue and I am convinced that Belarus is, first and foremost, a European nation. In Lithuania, we are struggling to overcome the historical legacy when Belarusians say that they are more Lithuanian than Lithuanians themselves…. The most important thing is that Belarusians feel themselves Europeans, not Russians or “Belarussians”, as they share their roots with us in our common European background,” the MEP noted.
According to Rasa Jukneavičienė, Belarusians were “sovietized” in the past. “Belarus is a part of Europe, I hope that in future they will be the EU member state… but first, Ukraine must win on the battlefield for this to happen,” she concluded.
The Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” foundation, is the main platform in this country to discuss problems of war and peace, national and world security.
