Russia is targeting European democracy to the purpose of destroying its unity.
Krzysztof Brejza, MEP (Poland), stressed this idea at the 17th Annual Kyiv Security Forum “UA: UNITE AGAIN TO DEFEAT THE GLOBAL AGGRESSOR”, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

“In Europe we must fully understand that this is not only a war against Ukraine, not just a brutal war, a war against Europe, but it is also a powerful information war against all of us, against all of Europe. This is a war against our beliefs, our faith, strength and reason,” he said.
Krzysztof Brejza stressed that Russia seeks to divide Europe, “it targets European democracy and wants to destroy its unity.”
He also emphasized that Poland’s friendship with Ukraine became especially visible after the start of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, when millions of Ukrainian women and children knew that they could flee to Poland and save themselves there.
“The question remains who will take lead in Europe. I believe that the answer is obvious: we will do it together. The EU and Ukraine. Side by side,” the MEP said, adding that “Europe is not just about geography, it is a union of common values.”
The Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” foundation, is the main platform in this country to discuss problems of war and peace, national and world security.
