There will be no victory without a united war effort, armaments and domestic production - Solomia Bobrovska
08.05.25

It is premature to talk about Ukraine’s victory until the critically important issues of mobilization as a united war effort, stepped-up military production and foreign aid dependence are resolved.

This was stressed Solomia Bobrovska, Ukrainian MP, at the 17th Annual Kyiv Security Forum “UA: UNITE AGAIN TO DEFEAT THE GLOBAL AGGRESSOR”, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine”.

According to her, the key factor remains the re-instatement of domestic defense production. Ukraine cannot depend on foreign aid alone, which often arrives late and under huge political pressure.

It’s very expensive, but not speaking in terms of public funds or budgets, but in terms of countless lives lost on the battlefield while awaiting for American military aid to arrive,” she added.

Solomia Bobrovska also noted that war-related fatigue is on the rise within international community, in particular, among businesses in Europe. Therefore, Ukraine should be more active in designing a support strategy considering the tough geopolitical situation.

In her opinion, the manner in which Ukraine copes with internal challenges – ranging from mobilization (the all-out effort) to resources management - will determine the country’s ability to withstand and win.

The Kyiv Security Forum, organized by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk “Open Ukraine” foundation, is the main platform in Ukraine to discuss issues of war and peace, national and global security.
