The response of free nations to the challenges from totalitarianism and aggression must be unity. Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum and Ukraine's Prime Minister from 2014 to 2016, made this statement during the 18th annual KSF, which was held under the theme "Darkness or Dawn: Is There Light Ahead?"
"Free nations must unite against totalitarianism and aggression. A new era must begin — an era of true statesmanship," he remarked.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk also emphasized the need for changes to global institutions, "NATO must be strengthened to remain the strongest defense alliance on Earth. The UN must be fundamentally reformed — we need a new, serious, and effective approach to ensure this."
The politician emphasized that it is urgently necessary to put an end to severe conflicts.
"The bloodshed in the Middle East must end, and the rules of coexistence among states must be restored. It is also necessary to ensure the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons," he emphasized.
Addressing the current situation in Ukraine, the Chairman of the KSF stated that victory over Russia's military aggression is inevitable.
"Ukraine has always been, is, and will continue to be. Ukraine will prevail in this war. We are a free people, and we know how to defend our freedom. The solution to global despair is clear: the war criminal Putin must be stopped. The aggressor must be held accountable," Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized.
He added, "The U.S. and the EU must serve as beacons of the free world". "The historic unification of Europe must be finalized. Ukraine is ready for full membership in the EU and NATO,” the politician concluded.
